Moisture-Barrier and Antibacterial Upholstery Fabrics for Hotels

Hotel beds, headboards and seating face spills, sweat, frequent cleaning and heavy turnover. Upholstery with a water-repellent face and a membrane backing helps protect the foam underneath, and an antibacterial finish can add another layer of care.

How these fabrics are built

Atlas Contract supplies contract upholstery with a water-repellent face and a membrane on the back. The membrane is intended to limit liquid reaching the foam, while the face keeps the look and feel of an upholstery fabric. Exact construction, finish and performance vary by article.

Where they are useful

What to confirm per article

Ask for composition, weight, abrasion performance, the finish used and any test reports for the claims you need. Antibacterial and liquid-resistance claims depend on the article and the test method, so we state only what documentation supports. Fire compliance is also article-specific.

What to send for a quotation

For fire-testing background see upholstery fabrics and BS 5852, and for seating in dining venues see upholstery for restaurants and cafés.
